Security agencies in the Ministry of Interior succeeded in manning various places during the New Year’s Eve celebration, including commercial complexes, entertainment parks, houses of worship, camps, farms and even animal pens without registering any event or incident that perturbed the security order in the country.
Sources from the ministry revealed that about five thousand security personnel from various sectors of the ministry participated in a well-organized manner to preserve safety and security in the country in the New Year celebration.
Security personnel were distributed in various hot spots, especially places where public celebration of the New Year took place, and no major cases were registered apart from seven cases of theft and fights. The security officers also arrested 11 people who were under the influence of alcohol in various parts of the country, and all of them were referred to concerned authorities.
