Nursing Association Was Surprised For Moh Decision
The Nursing Association has issued a statement in which it said it was surprised a delegation from the Department of Nursing Services is heading to India to bring nurses while the Ministry of Health is suffering from the problem of not solving the issue of over 560 nurses for 6 months.
The association asked in its statement yesterday about the reasons why the management of nursing services selected certain companies to bring nurses according to the instructions of the Minister of Health Dr Jamal Al-Harbi and the undersecretary of the ministry.
The association also asked about the role of the Central Tenders Committee in identifying these companies. “Regardless of what is said to provide job grades for 300 nurses, and if they do not receive their salaries, we are here to talk about a problem that the concerned ministry wants the situation to get worse with the formation of a committee to bring nurses from India when a problem in the ministry has not been fully resolved.”
The Nursing Association has called on members of the National Assembly to move and find out why these companies were chosen only to bring nurses and why they were not presented to the Central Tenders Committee.
The association has called on the minister of health to stop what it described “corruption” in nursing sector and to upgrade the profession instead of paying attention to the companies which bring in only nurses and not allowing other companies to do so. The association hopes the minister of health will ‘clean’ the Nursing Department and leave his mark before his departure in the event of the resignation of the government and the implementation of ministerial amendments.
