Over 103 Fake Companies Employ 3400 Nationals
More than 103 fake companies had employed 3400 nationals, a source at the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) revealed Tuesday.
In a press statement, General Manager of MGRP, Mohammed Al Mutawtah said that the MGRP had initiated legal action against those companies.
He pointed out that the licenses of the involved companies have been nullified and stopped transferring government payments for the 3,400 national employees.
Al Mutawtah added that the MGRP is committed to supporting national employment and preserving national funds from fraudulent activities.
Legal measures have also been taken to ensure legitimacy in all sectors of the MGRP including employment, salaries and other banking transactions, Al Mutawtah said.
291 cases of fraud had been registered with the MGRP from Feb. 11 to March 31 of this year.
Al Mutawtah affirmed that new steps have been taken to prevent the reoccurrence of such cases.Â
