Police Hunt Motorist In Gruesome Runover Incident On Motorway
Police are looking for a hit-and run motorist for running over an Egyptian while crossing a motorway, reports Al-Rai daily. It is reported that the motorist was driving at a very high speed and the victim was cut to pieces.
Meanwhile, heavy traffic congestion was experienced on Sabhan Road because a large crane had overturned, reports Al-Nahar daily. Traffic officers, firefighters, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after receiving information about the accident. It took two hours for the traffic to come back to normal.
The driver of the crane was not injured. And in another incident a collision between two vehicles on Salmi Road resulted in injuries to two individuals – one of them got stuck in his vehicle. The Public Relations General Department at Kuwait Fire Service Directorate said the Operations Unit at the directorate received a call regarding the accident, so firefighters from Shaqaya and Jahra fire stations supervised by Major Saleh Al-Shemmari rushed to the location to rescue the motorist who got stuck in his vehicle. The injured were air lifted to the nearest hospital.
