Syrian Truck Driver Was Arrested For Attempting To Smuggle Narcotic Pills

A Syrian truck driver was arrested at Abdali border checkpoint for attempting to smuggle narcotic pills. According to security sources, Abdali border customs officers were checking the trucks that had arrived from Iraq when they suspected one of the trucks and ordered the driver to stop. However, the driver jumped out of the trunk and tried to run away but he was caught. Officers checked him and the truck to find the hidden narcotic pills. They checked his details and discovered he is a Syrian national. He was arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. Meanwhile, an Indian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport in possession of 50 grams of drugs that he had hidden inside his bag.
